Last month Enough and Resolve Uganda partnered with Invisible Children for the “How It Ends” Lobby Days. The two-day event brought together over 1,700 young activists from across the United States. They met with members of the House and Senate to encourage their elected officials to support and co-sponsor the Lord’s Resistance Army LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act of 2009 (S. 1067 in Senate and HR 2478 in the House).
As Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) noted in a recent blog post, after a long period of neglect by the international community, the tide appears to be shifting to end Africa’s longest running war, and young Americans are playing an instrumental role in pressing for U.S. action. Check out this video of a few activists talking about their reasons for taking part in “How It Ends.”
