If you’re in Washington, D.C., this week, don’t miss the screening of the award-winning documentary "War Child" on Capitol Hill. On Wednesday, October 7, the Enough Project, along with honorary co-hosts Congressman Donald. M Payne (D-NJ) and Congressman Frank R. Wolf (R-VA), will host the screening and a panel discussion with the film’s director, C. Karim Chrobog.
RSVP here.
“War Child” chronicles the tumultuous, shocking, inspiring, and ultimately hopeful odyssey of Emmanuel Jal, a former child soldier during Sudan’s brutal civil war. The film tells the story of Jal’s life through his words, music, and remarkable film footage dating back to his childhood. Jal is now an emerging international hip hop star sharing a message of peace for his war-torn land and beloved Africa.
The event will include a short reception, opening remarks by Representatives Payne and Wolf, a screening of “War Child,” and a panel led by Enough’s Co-founder John Prendergast and Mr. Chrobog.
