ADVISORY: Enough Project Congo Campaign Speakers’ Tour

WASHINGTON, DC, February 13, 2009 – The Enough Project’s RAISE Hope for Congo Speakers’ Tour will make a stop at New York University’s Rosenthal Pavilion on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at 6:00 pm. The speakers’ tour has been visiting college campuses and high schools around the country to educate students about the conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, the resulting epidemic of sexual violence against women and girls, and how students can be a part of a solution that will bring lasting peace to this central African nation. The speakers’ tour is part of the Enough Project’s RAISE Hope for Congo campaign, which aims to develop a permanent and diverse constituency that will work to protect and empower Congolese women and girls.
