Longtime Washington Post columnist Al Kamen gave this week’s Sudan Now campaign, targeting the deputies committee of the National Security Council, an extra boost today. In the lead section of his much-read column In The Loop, Kamen pointed to Sudan Now’s ad campaign targeting five little-known but highly influential deputies, calling it “true creativity.” Enough’s own John Norris is also quoted in the piece, which is nice.
Kamen got to the meat of the issue, noting:
The ad attempts to rebut an optimistic administration assessment, largely espoused by Obama special envoy Scott Gration — though he’s not mentioned — that conditions are improving and that recent agreements in Sudan are moving to end the war in Darfur.
