Robin Wright Talks Conflict Minerals on 'Chelsea Lately'

Actress and Raise Hope for Congo activist Robin Wright dropped by the E! Network's popular late-night show "Chelsea Lately" to talk about her latest film "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," the holidays, and the mineral-fueled conflict in eastern Congo.

Congo discussion begins at 3:00. Viewer discretion advised.

In the segment, Wright explains she "got involved in this cause because the minerals that are in our gadgets that we use everyday– our iPhones, our toasters, our computers– have [minerals] that come from the Congo and every 48 minutes a woman is being raped in and around these mines."

Wright encourages viewers to speak up for the people of eastern Congo and pressure Apple to make a product with conflict-free minerals.

This past summer, Wright traveled to eastern Congo with the Enough Project's Raise Hope for Congo team. Read her trip diary here.
