Pledge2Protect Against Genocide

Mark your calendars, activists. In a little less than a month, Pledge2Protect, a conference aimed to educate and empower activists involved in the anti-genocide movement, is taking place on Capitol Hill.

From November 6-9, STAND, Genocide Intervention Network’s student-led division, will bring together students, community leaders, and activists from across the country to help them become more effective advocates and better leaders in their communities and to demonstrate to policymakers the strength of the movement to end genocide. The four-day conference will feature workshops on genocide prevention and specific conflict areas, training on grassroots organization and social media techniques, as well as panel discussions with policy experts. On the final day, participants will meet with elected officials to push for key genocide prevention legislation.
