In August 2010 Golden-Globe nominated actress Ashley Judd made her second visit to eastern Congo. She traveled with Enough Project Co-founder John Prendergast to learn more about the connection between conflict minerals and the violence in the region, and to meet the survivors of the on-going conflict. Judd visited camps for displaced people, mines, civil society organizations, and hospitals treating survivors of sexual violence. While there, Judd chronicled her experiences through journal writing. Upon returning, she contributed to two powerful pieces for CNN.
