John Prendergast to speak at Brookings Institution panel: Top Priorities for Africa in 2014

Top Priorities for Africa in 2014
 

On January 7, the Africa Growth Initiative at Brookings will host a discussion with leading Africa experts on the most important challenges the continent will face in 2014.

The discussion, entitled Top Priorities for Africa in 2014, will include:

  • Makhtar Diop, vice president for Africa at the World Bank 
  • Robin Renee Sanders, former U.S. ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria
  • Bright Simons, Ghanaian social entrepreneur and founder and president of the mPedigree Network
  • John Prendergast, co-founder of Enough Project
  •  Amadou Sy, senior fellow with the Africa Growth Initiative

 Helene Cooper, New York Times White House correspondent, will moderate the discussion.

Following the program, the panelists will take audience questions. This event will be webcast live.
