ACAMS UK Chapter Meeting

October 2, 2019

Denisse Rudich, A Senior Advisor to The Sentry for the UK, will join an expert panel with the ACAMS UK Chapter to explore the convergence between forms of trafficking and their enablers in the context of the financial flows and money laundering.

The UNODC has recognized an increasing convergence between forms of trafficking and their enablers. The same transnational organised crime networks may be involved in trafficking wildlife and people, using the same infrastructure or routes, and facilitated by enablers such as corruption. ACAMS believes that the key to fighting financial crime is partnership and our panel will represent financial institutions, law enforcement, NGOs, and academia. Introductory remarks will be made by David Fein, our Group General Counsel and Vice Chair of the United for Wildlife IWT Financial Taskforce, and the panel will be chaired by Trish Sullivan, Managing Director and Global Co-Head of FCC and representative for the Bank in groups such as the Five Eyes Law Enforcement Money Laundering Working Group and Wolfsberg Group of global banks. The audience will comprise an informed audience of 100 delegates from both retail and investment banks including FCC managers, compliance, and operations.

This event is not open to the public.
