18th International Anti-Corruption Conference

Debra LaPrevotte, a Senior Investigator with The Sentry, will speak on a panel discussing “Corruption, Fragility and Conflict.” The proposed panel discussion will focus on (i) the contextual challenges that must be addressed when confronting corruption in fragile and conflict states; (ii) the core elements of successful engagements and the critical role of ensuring accountability; (iii) the challenges of managing risk and the importance of balancing longer-term sustainable impact on corruption, as well as more immediate successes.

The International Anti-Corruption Conference, first held in 1983, has evolved into the leading global forum on governance and anti-corruption. It brings together leaders from the public and private sectors, civil society, international organisations, academics and the media to discuss the increasingly sophisticated challenges posed by corruption.
