2018 Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity

June 8, 2018 - June 10, 2018

Enough Project Founding Director John Prendergast will be participating in the 2018 Aurora Prize for Humanity Ceremony and other events the weekend of June 8-10 in Armenia. The weekend includes the Aurora Dialogues, which brings together distinguished humanitarians, academics, philanthropists and business leaders to tackle the pressing humanitarian concerns of our day. There will also be a discussion on the findings of the 2018 Aurora Humanitarian Index, an annual survey examining public perceptions of major humanitarian issues across multiple geographic areas.

On Friday, June 8th, John Prendergast will participate in a conversation with Ambassador Samantha Power titled Making Change When Change is Hard, beginning at 5pm. The event will take place at the American University of Armenia, Manoogian Hall. Learn more here.

The weekend’s final event, the presentation of the Aurora Prize, celebrates the strength of the human spirit that compels action in the face of adversity, and is offered on behalf of the survivors of the Armenian Genocide, and in gratitude to their saviors. This gratitude is manifested in all Aurora initiatives, intended to support those who defend human values and human life.
