Rally at Olympic Sponsor Headquarters with STAND!

in
Date:May 15, 2008
Location:Cities across US

As STAND continues to push President Bush to Lobby China, activists also need to be increasing the pressure on the 2008 Olympic Corporate Sponsors!

Starting this weekend, STAND activists will rally at Olympic Sponsor headquarters all over the country. The corporate sponsors of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing have the financial leverage to convey to China that in order to stop genocide in Darfur, the government must use its significant leverage to influence the Sudanese government. Corporate sponsors must use their influence to ask China to protect the people of Darfur before the Olympic games begin.

Attend one of these upcoming rallies:

o Coca-Cola: Atlanta, GA, on Saturday, 4/26, at 2 pm

o Staples: Boston, MA, on Sunday, 4/27 at 11 am

o Coca-Cola: New York, NY, on Sunday, 4/27 at 2:30 pm

o Johnson & Johnson: New Brunswick, NJ, on Saturday, 5/10 at 3 pm

o McDonald's: Oakbrook, IL, on Saturday, 5/10, time TBD

o Visa: San Francisco, CA, on Friday, 5/16 at 4 pm

o Coming Soon: Dates for a General Electric Rally in Fairfield, CT, and an NBC rally in New York, NY! Click here for exact locations.

Want to help plan a rally or get more involved in the campaign? Email Adriane Alicea at aalicea@standnow.org!

The Olympics are only a few months away, and we've got to keep the pressure on! If you can't come to a rally but want to help pressure the Olympic Corporate Sponsors, be on the look out for more information about the campaign coming soon!

Keep up the pressure on China!
