Missteps on the LRA in Uganda

Uganda

'Operation Lightning Thunder,' the U.S.-supported military operation launched in mid-December against the Lord's Resistance Army rebel group by the armies of Uganda, Congo, and Southern Sudan has been poorly executed and has only made the crisis worse, says a joint statement by the Enough Project and Resolve Uganda. Swift and decisive action by the Obama Administration to protect civilians from further violence and demobilize the LRA could help end the conflict.
