Congo’s conflict minerals—tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold—are helping to continue violence in the region, perpetuating rape, child labor, and a variety of other human rights atrocities. In November 2009, Enough consultant Sasha Lezhnev traveled to eastern Congo to investigate the conflict minerals supply chain, beginning at the mouth of the mine.
