Sudan Policy Call Today

Tune in today at noon EST for a Sudan policy call aimed at advocates, featuring updates from Enough, SDC/GI-Net, and Human Rights Watch. With the peaceful passing of the southern Sudan referendum and early results showing that southern Sudanese overwhelming favor independence, Africa’s largest country is set on a path to split in two in less than six months.

Representatives from the three human rights organizations will open the call with brief remarks about the environment during voting, the credibility of the process, and implications moving forward. The remainder of the hour-long call will be an open discussion based on the questions callers raise.

Here are the call-in and speaker details:

When: 12:00 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, January 27
Where: Your phone – dial (866) 673-8277, conference ID: # 39077494

Dan Sullivan, senior policy analyst for SDC/GI-Net
Jehanne Henry, senior Sudan researcher for Human Rights Watch
Laura Heaton, writer and editor of Enough’s blog, Enough Said

Join us, and come with questions.
