Finland, Nokia, Conflict Minerals and [Your Name Here]

What do these things have in common? Pro Fair Trade Finland, a new RAISE Hope for Congo partner, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote fair and sustainable world trade. This year, Pro Fair Trade Finland is organizing a petition through the makeITfair campaign asking Nokia to develop more ethical mobile phones, and they’re asking for your help.

Later this month, Pro Fair Trade Finland is meeting with Nokia representatives to discuss campaign demands. The petition has over 5,000 signatures already and will be presented on November 13. We need your help, as consumers of these electronics products, to let the biggest companies know that it matters to us that our purchases don’t fuel this ongoing tragedy.
